alastor is an unusually cordial resident of hell. he goes about his day with an unwavering smile and makes a point of greeting people with a firm, polite handshake. this is typically the first thing people find off-putting about him. it's strange to value such a thing as social manners during eternal damnation. that's just how he was raised, though.

behind that charming mask, however, is still a demon. he's not afraid to use brute force to get what he wants and punish those who step out of line. of course, he's not above tormenting a few poor souls just for fun, either. he's a sadistic, narcissistic, cannibalistic serial killer, both in life and in death. the vast majority of hell gives him a wide berth when he passes by, and while he doesn't yet command the same level of terror and respect as a certain fellow, ripe-aged overlord, he has plenty of fear and infamy under his belt.

above all else, alastor craves entertainment. he despises boredom and will do everything in his power to avoid it, preferably with a good helping of death and murder along the way. the hazbin hotel has been a decent avenue for that so far, a fascinating side-project to keep him busy while he works quietly just under everyone's noses to achieve his ultimate goal of breaking his contract with lilith.

having been a radio broadcaster in life, this passion followed alastor into hell and gave him his notoriety as the radio demon. he can manipulate radio waves and broadcast himself across hell, as well has manipulate radio waves to trap souls.

alastor can summon any demon whose soul belongs to him by contract. he can also transport some objects to his location.

alastor is able to summon shadows to enact his whim, as well as move around through them and manipulate them to affect his surroundings physically.
