Fiercely devoted to both his clan and his village, Kagami is one of the few Uchiha to have been spared of the Curse of Hatred that commonly befell his brethren. Although hardened by war, he remains empathetic and compassionate toward his loved ones as much as the rest of the village he has sworn to protect. As one of Tobirama's trusted disciples—a position he cherished with great dignity and humility—he adopted his mentor's inventive and innovative curiosity. Rather than delving into the creation of new jutsu, however, Kagami is more concerned with societal advancements. He longs to bridge the gaps between the long-suffered hatred and resentment that sunder the clans of Konohagakure. While they may all live in the same village, living together is another matter entirely.

His allegience to Tobirama as well as his clan has marked him something of an outsider to both the Uchiha and the rest of the village. Konoha is still wary of the Uchiha and his clan still holds great animosity toward the Senju, particularly Tobirama for his part in the death of Izuna Uchiha. Kagami understands that war can drive people to make the hardest of decisions, so he does not blame Tobirama for his actions, which only serves to alienate him from his clan even more. Rather than lash out at them for their intolerance, however, Kagami frequently encourages the notion of forgiveness. In his eyes, the sooner those of Konoha forgive one another for the tragedies brought upon them by war, the sooner they can move into an era of true peace.

(24) kagami is an intern at professor elm’s lab in new bark town. he mainly helps tend to the pokemon and files papers and whatever other menial tasks the professor assigns him, but he loves his job nonetheless. his houndoom, enzo, is a loving nanny to the younger pokemon and pesci loves to give cuddles (even if nobody wants them). he’s rarely traveled outside of his hometown and when he has, he’s never gone farther than cherrygrove city to fetch supplies for the lab. he’s quite comfortable with his simple life, if a bit unfulfilled, but that makes new experiences all the more exciting. he learns a lot about pokemon from working with professor elm and one day he thinks he’ll travel on his own to see and experience the world like a real pokemon trainer.
