prior to attending the hero course at u.a., izuku was very timid and reserved, to the point that he would let other people walk all over him without even trying to fend for himself. he was very polite in spite of this, and very determined, so much so that, after being approached by all might, he spent the summer between semesters following a strict, disciplined routine to prepare his body to inherit one for all.

ever since training to become a hero, izuku has displayed a newfound confidence and strong will. he is no longer afraid to stand up for himself, even when antagonized by his middle school bully. he still considers katsuki to be his friend and makes every effort to connect with him. sometimes that means meeting his challenges head to head to show katsuki that he isn't as weak as he used to be.

izuku is naturally observant, making note of every minor detail that sticks out to him as potentially significant. he keeps shelves of notebooks with details of other heroes and villains he's faced and even implements strategies and techniques into his own skillset based on what he observes in others.

he can be known to be more than a little self-sacrificing. he values the lives of others so greatly that he won't think twice about putting himself in harm's way to protect them. he has a strong moral compass that he won't compromise no matter how far he's pushed. he's capable of becoming brash and abrasive when his limits are tested, but he always acts in the interest of saving others. sometimes this means saving villains, as well, as he tries to empathize with the motives &&. goals of his opponents to understand them better and try to find common ground with them.

this quirk allows him to stockpile power and, if he so chooses, pass on the quirk to someone else.

this quirk can generate and store kinetic energy through repetitive movement, which can then be released in an explosive burst of energy.

izuku can use this quirk to sense threats in his surroundings, though its intensity causes him severe headaches when used.

this quirk produces black tendrils that can be used to increase mobility and grab onto things from a distance.

izuku can dispense thick, purple smoke from his body using this quirk to obstruct the vision of others.

heroes have always fascinated izuku, taking centre stage in his life all the way from childhood to present day. he looked up to heroes and sought to embody everything they stood for, even putting himself in compromising situations as a child in an attempt to emulate his idols. all this, despite being quirkless, something he viewed as a personal flaw for many years. even so, he was determined to become like his heroes, aiming to enroll at u.a. even in spite of his lack of a quirk.

he faced many obstacles, namely katsuki, but izuku fell into the good grace of his guardian angel when he was acknowledged by the one and only all might. his actions during the sludge villain's attack on katsuki impressed all might to the point that he chose izuku to become his successor.

he trained non-stop over the summer in order to prepare his body for the power of all might's quirk, and even though he barely made the cut by the skin of his teeth, he managed to succeed in this endeavour and even earn a spot in the hero course at u.a.

now izuku is on the road to becoming a true hero, meeting many more obstacles along the way. the league of villains, all for one, the meta liberation army—he's facing challenges that put him to the test like never before, all in the name of becoming a pro hero like he's always dreamed of. he has to learn a hard lesson now that achieving this dream might mean making decisions he never would have imagined himself making.

izuku is still a student at u.a. undergoing the trials of learning what it means to be a hero. this could take place during the events of canon or during his second or third years at u.a.

known to the world at large as the symbol of hope, deku is a full-fledged pro hero with a number of major victories under his belt. he sits comfortably as the #1 pro hero with a number of his former classmates close behind. the deku agency is the most popular pick amoung up and coming startups by far with more sidekicks and interns than they have room for. the pressure of fame and glory is settling in, but what matters is that deku has virtually full freedom to save the world like he's always wanted.

an unfortunate encounter with all for one left izuku with a brand new quirk: doppelgänger. this quirk gives him a jekyll-and-hyde temperament—part of him remains intact and the other part has become bloodthirsty and vicious. it calls itself "dekiru" and the more he uses it, the stronger it becomes.

izuku is held captive by his own mind, the darkest parts of himself taking on an identity of their own and forcing him to do things for the league of villains he never would have if he were in control of himself. "dekiru" is creating a name for itself in the villainous underground, leaving a sour taste in people's mouths when they see what atrocities one for all is capable of.

izuku never inherited one for all—all might chose another successor when izuku failed to save the day during the sludge villain's attack. instead, izuku went down a much darker path, running away from home and apprenticing under the hero killer stain by happenstance. he became a villainous mastermind known for his merciless schemes. eventually he crosses paths with the league of villains and joins them if only for the sake of convenience and resources.

it's only a matter of time before they become more trouble than they're worth, though. izuku's mission is to lift the wool from the world's eyes and show them that the age of heroes had come and gone, and now it's time for the ordinary to seize their destiny for themselves.

all might's discouraging words at their first meeting had crushed any remnants of hope izuku had left about becoming a hero. it was katsuki's determination to fight and survive during the sludge villain attack that rallied all might into action to save him that night. izuku was blown away by the reality check that he could never hold a candle to people like them.

instead, he enrolled in the police academy after graduating and became a uniformed officer under sansa. this way, he's still able to fight crime and save lives, albeit on a much smaller scale than pro heros. it's a disappointing, but satisfying life all the same.
