heir apparent to the bookman clan, "lavi" (who may alternatively be addressed as "bookman junior" at any given time) is also an exorcist of the black order, an alliance tentatively forged between the vatican and the bookman clan in light of the holy war. in all other matters, however, lavi is to remain wholly neutral. while his name and demeanor may change with each new log, his affiliation with the bookman clan is steadfast and not to be taken lightly.

due to the unstable identity/constant identity crisis, lavi sometimes experiences lapses in his personas in which he will revert to previous names. the most common to rear its read is "deak", the name he had before "lavi". deak is significantly less chipper, far more confrontational, and decidedly very emotionless. like a good little bookman protégé.

having spent several months captive to the noah, enduring torture beyond comprehension, things took a turn for the worst when lavi’s noah gene activated and awakened the noah of wrath within him. although relieved of imprisonment, lavi has found himself in a completely new predicament. denied of his status as both an exorcist and a bookman, he is left with no other choice than to join the noah clan.
