mikoto suoh has been chosen by the dresden slate to lead the red clan. while he didn't ask for this responsibility, he had no choice but to take it. he doesn't consider himself a real "king", nor does he try to act like one. he's content to be regarded as little more than the leader of a gang called homra made up of his loyal clansmen. he considers them to be more like a family than a following.

hailing from hi no kuni, mikoto began as little more than an orphan of the kyubi's attack on konohagakure. it was a fairly traumatizing event for him, of which he has seemingly no recollection. truthfully he only pretends not to remember as a coping mechanism, as well as an emotional barrier whenever it's brought up in conversation.

he began to spiral into self-destructive habits after that and ended up getting himself into quite a bit of trouble, especially after forming a rag-tag gang of other delinquents with too much energy to burn off. he began to grow tired of the constant beratement from his superiors, however, and decided that he would leave his gang to manage itself while he quietly left the village without telling anyone.

mikoto had little idea of where he planned to go or what to do; he just knew that being in the village had begun to feel suffociating, so staying true to his carefree nature, he wanted to go somewhere else. after months of traveling from one town to the next, crossing over country borders and surviving on what little spare change he had and casual theft, mikoto found himself in a land of vast savannah near kaze no kuni.

it was there that mikoto learned of a more natural way of life, living off the land in harmony with animals rather than in competition with them. during his time here, mikoto was introduced to in'in yokuchi, (殷々沃地, literally "roaring/rumbling wild lands", also read as "beautiful land").

this oasis was the domain of the lions. here he would come to be one with the lions, forming a summoning contract with them. he spent years amoung the wild lands, and in doing so learned the art of senjutsu and eventually became known as the lion sage.

a graduate of u.a. academy, mikoto is a pro hero known as the red sword. he was one of the big three of his graduating class, though he had the lowest academic scores of the trio. he is known for his rapid ascension into the top ten, ranking #3 overall. his quirk, inferno, is a long-range emitter-type quirk that allows him pyrokinetic abilities. his agency is called homra.

instead of graduating from u.a., mikoto dropped out in his second year following the devastating tragedy of his best friend, totsuka, being murdered. no one blamed mikoto for taking the time to mourn, but rather than accept what had happened and move on with his life, he allowed his despair and rage to overcome him. he did not return to the academy, instead taking up a life in the underground.

a self-proclaimed vigilante, mikoto has drawn together his own band of informal sidekicks in a ruthless gang called homra to help him track down and ultimately kill totsuka's murderer. he primarily targets other villains, but his grief has made him indiscriminate in "removing" whoever gets in the way of his goal, including heroes.

(totsuka blogs are more than welcome to interact with this verse under the assumption that his murder was unsuccessful. we would just need to plot alternative events!)

mikoto is a former league champion of the kalos region. he won his final battle in the league with his partner pokemon pyroar, who remains a signature staple in mikoto's brand. he specializes in all fire-type pokemon, with the rest of his team consisting of arcanine, houndoom, ninetales, charizard, and typhlosion. mikoto has since retired from being a pokemon trainer, but will still accept any challenge presented to him (if he's caught in a good mood).

mikoto leads a small, "villainous" organization in the kalos region called team homra. much like those of team skull in the alola region, team homra doesn't engage in the more high-risk operations of other well-known organizations, instead merely acting as nuisance ruffians in their home territory of couriway town.

they also occasionally obstruct and ransack some of the cargo trains that come through the city and have rather loud and rambunctious parties at the bar they occupy, but otherwise don't cause much major damage unless a territorial scuffle breaks out. while they don't necessarily have a standard "uniform", members of team homra wear primarily red clothing and have a red stud piercing in their left ear lobes.
